The Social Resume ?

As a full time professional all I ever need is an up-to-date resume detailing my skillset, areas of interest, experience, qualification and other relevant details. Yeah, a bit deviant as it is color coded but with who I am it works for me because anyways resumes covers for just less than 20% of the whole process. When I started using one after my graduation I realized maybe my professional networking site should also be up-to-date with all the related relevant details. 

From then and now, I never had any intention of linking any of my other networking sites to my professional documents nor resume. Those were strictly personal and doesn't have any relevance or significance when it comes to my career. 

But I am rethinking now, firstly meta has already begun redefining everything we were familiar of, starting from uni-frame per second to uni-frame per micro second to resolutions, every well known standards of yesterday are being revisited and revised. Secondly, something I had to go through made me realize even if you have created your social media accounts in your teen years and you might not have changed anything about yourself or your social media presence in years as long as you live in a society with an applied and well worked formula of social conditioning, you cant take that teen spirit to grave with you.

Well, the most relevant and significant job role according to me is that of a farmer however no matter how hard working and hustling is that job role on a daily basis it totally lack the glam and glitz to have a social media presence. Luckily that job role doesn't demand for any sort of daily promotion per se, but have you ever considered factors like exposure, reach, scaling the trade, building a brand, if yes even that profession is demanding a planned and well built network. And here is your solution to everything, META.

Be you or do you is upto you and how authentic you are but definitely meta is about SHOW YOU. And I totally recommend doing justice to yourself but never ever let this opportunity slide away from your hand. 

Having said that, I know people who have left social media to seek peace and stay away from the hassle and I also know people who have deleted all their social media accounts to make sure that any sort of analytics or predictive AI wouldn't cloud their judgements. Well latter is something which should be considered but aren't we exposed already? I am sure we are and the knowledge that there is something out there which not only thinks for ourselves better than us without mixing up thoughts with emotions but also find solutions for our thoughts and present to us to make us pick its solution w/w/o our awareness. Yeah that clearly is a risk. But in the big picture, aren't we already okay with that or more accurately weren't we okay with that until we get to know the truth behind it all ? I guess we are or we were, whichever tense is applicable to us.

I know this is not a conclusive article because these are just my thoughts and I am just in the process of thinking through. But this definitely is a seed of thought to whoever reads this. What is your social media presence to you ?  Your Social Resume ? think about it..it might be high time.
