Health

When I decided to bring up old posts it was to make sure all personal posts go down. But hardly did I know there was so much of me in all of my posts. And today after a week I know one thing, it is alright that things you do reflects you and your temperament like a lattice into your mind and thoughts. In many situations it is even vital that you express what is going on in your mind..

How often have you heard there is no other wealth better than health. If at all you are someone who values your physical health, how much do you signify your mental and emotional health. One problem is physical health is something which is evident or right infront of your eyes hence you often give more importance to your physical health. What I have seen and understood through personal experience is that physical health is so intricately entwined with your mental/emotional health. There can be an influence on your physical health when your emotional/mental health worsens. Conditions like chronic stress, anxiety, or depression can manifest in physical symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension, digestive problems, or weakened immune function.

One hard to digest reality is that over the years especially after each organ unit is segregated into separate streams of specializations our go to medical aid for physiological illnesses has stopped treating causes altogether atleast in the country I reside in. Even if we have a category similar to GPs their approach to a disease treatment would be somewhat similar to giving a pain killer to relieve you from your immediate symptom and then a wait period of 3 to 5 days max (if antibiotics in the same category have been prescribed). If this period doesn't subside your illness, then you would be referred to a specialized doctor based on your evident point of illness. Once specialized doctor takes charge of the situation, again along with explained symptoms a couple of tests will be conducted to especially assess the vitals and also  implication of these explained symptoms on your organs. This examination might or might not expose the root cause, the next step would again be treating to alleviate the symptoms (which in most cases might also go along with the examination, in effect tainting the results altogether). I have derived this limitation of modern medical science for physiological illness based on a discussion I had with one of my docs a few years ago. It all looks like an inverted do while loop in my head, as in a while-do loop.

I have heard all of my artificial intelligence tutors repeatedly state that please note that this model is not a representation of your brain, it is just inspired by how your brain works. The obvious reason is that human brain is such a complicated organ to be replicated and up until a replication becomes possible in all its literal sense, artificial intelligence would never be enough to take over humans no matter how many APIs tend to intercommunicate/inter-synchronize or intra-communicate on its own. This complication of  the design of human body tends to be our best defense against artificial intelligence however this same complication of design of human body is the reason why medical science cannot even step forth to analyze the exact cause of a single person's physiological illness/illness patterns. It can take upto more than a doctor's lifetime to assess the exact cause of an individual's patterns. And even if someone attained that knowledge by extensive analysis and assessment, that information can be hardly reused in case of a second individual's patterns.

On the work front I am someone who assesses, analyzes, advises, audits, actions an enterprise server's or its entire infrastructures reliability, overall health, operations and functionality, security and product defects/bugs fixes/patches/backports. There is a term we often use when we are yet to find out the root cause of an incident however implements an interim solution which addresses the immediate symptoms, work around. In effect that is the only area doctors are unfortunately limited to focus on these days due to the complexity by design of human anatomy.

What is in your hands ? I have definitely decided not to roam around in the above areas further as I am not equipped enough to know how to change that approach of medical science for better.

Taking care of your overall health is in yours hands though. It requires a holistic approach that addresses both physical and mental/emotional well-being. There are some general practices/strategies which helps anyone maintain and improve their overall health.

Regular Physical Activity: Engage your body in regular exercise or physical activity that you enjoy. Aim for at most 150 minutes of low intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity per week, along with strength training exercises. Physical activity not only improves your physical health but also releases endorphins that boost mood and reduce stress.

Balanced Diet: Maintain a nutritious and balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Proper nutrition supports overall physical health, provides essential nutrients for brain function, and contributes to better mental and emotional well-being.

Adequate Sleep: Prioritize quality sleep by establishing a consistent sleep routine and creating a sleep-friendly environment. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Sufficient sleep helps regulate mood, enhances cognitive function, and supports physical health.

Stress Management: Practice stress management techniques, such as mindfulness meditation, deep breathing exercises, yoga, or engaging in hobbies and activities you enjoy. These practices can help reduce stress, anxiety, and improve mental well-being.

Social Support: Cultivate healthy relationships and maintain a strong support network. Surround yourself with positive, supportive individuals who can provide emotional support and understanding. Connecting with others can positively impact mental health and overall well-being.

Emotional Well-being: Take time to address your emotional needs and practice self-care. Engage in activities that promote relaxation, self-reflection, and self-expression. This may include journaling, practicing gratitude, engaging in hobbies, or even seeking professional help.

Seek Professional Help: If you're experiencing persistent or severe mental or emotional or physical health challenges, it's important to seek professional help. Unlike any other health professionals, mental health professionals such as psychologists can even provide guidance, support, and evidence-based treatments to address your specific needs.

Remember that everyone's journey to overall health is unique, and it's essential to listen to your body, prioritize self-care, and seek help when necessary. Taking small steps consistently can lead to significant improvements in both physical and mental/emotional well-being over time... on a personal note this is all written from personal experience and always a work in progress.

Happy and soulful living!!
