Perlu

For last 10 or more days, my father's morning routine has been looking like this, wiping Perlu clean with a piece of cloth dipped in luke warm water, cleaning my baby's kennel, in case if she has puked or anything, giving her formula and glucose solution as she is facing difficulty in digesting solid food and then carrying her to the vet for daily shot. With the doctors verdict on last Wednesday that don't keep your hopes up, we were expecting what was to follow. Normally my day begins with someone dialing me up from home, most likely Pappa but last few days that has been missing nor was I dialing them back because I didn't want to hear that news like that. But everytime me and Agnu do video call, he go sits on the steps of our sit out to show me how perlu is lying down on her rug, not barking, not gazing anyone. Agnu always thinks Perlu as someone who would eat everything he doesn't finish, even the apple skin which he peels off from his apples. I don't know, me and mom at one point even discussed where and how to cremate her.

Well, today unexpectedly, this guy calls me in the morning as he used to and when I asked didn't you take Perlu to vet today, he replied,'perlu ne ppa tirich pidich mole'. I could feel that pride in his words and yes i am damn sure he had to put in so much of his effort into it when he himself is just recovering from his surgery. Jaundice, high fever, platelet drop, indigestion, vomiting, these were the symptoms. And that indigestion kind of worried me a bit as I heard from a friend that indigestion or inability of colons to digest food is a common cause of death in canines but it was an old age issue and my baby is just 6 months older than Agnu. I don't know, i didn't video call them yet but much relieved to know Perlu is fine now.. hope is the best feeling of all the other feelings, isnt it ?? 😊 Btw thats an old pic, my baby has a long way to go to get there again..
